Back in 2019, our family started A Bar Called Gemma. It grew into something widely loved. People came, stayed, returned, and Gemma found its way onto the international scene. But that’s history now — and a good one.
This is our next chapter. Jokes Aside is where Johan Evers and his team work with precision, shaping cocktails with a clear point of view. Each drink starts with a direction – a type, a feeling, a structure – then draws from ideas found across the world. Swedish techniques meet international flavors. The result is something new, without overcomplicating it.
We want Jokes Aside to be a bar you arrive at without effort – and leave with stories. You might find yourself among neighbors, sisters, lawyers, workers, friends, and dreamers. Let’s have some fun. It’s not that serious.
